Health & Wellness Policy

The health & wellness policy described below is the baseline policy for all Dirty Water WCS dances. Additional COVID-19 safety measures may be required depending on the venue or the health needs of our guest instructors. This policy is subject to change without notice. We thank you for your support in helping us to reduce COVID-19 risks while social dancing.

Masks

  • Masks are welcome and encouraged (but not required) for all participants.

  • Higher-quality masks, such as KN94, KN95, and N95 masks, are strongly preferred.

  • Please be sure to have a mask handy in case a partner requests that your wear a mask while you dance together.

Contact Tracing

  • Participant’s first names, last names, and email addresses will be collected as part of the registration process for contact tracing purposes.

  • If a participant tests positive for COVID-19 and they have attended a Dirty Water WCS event within the past ten (10) days, they are expected to report their first name, last name, and date of positive test to Dirty Water WCS immediately. This will be used to determine who to notify about potential COVID-19 exposure and no identifying information will be shared with other participants.

  • The names and contact information of the COVID-19-positive participant and anyone who may have been exposed may be shared with local public health authorities to facilitate additional contact tracing beyond the event as required.

  • If a participant attends a Dirty Water WCS event with someone who later tests positive for COVID-19, they will be notified at the email address that they provide during registration.

Additional Precautions

  • Upon checking in at a dance, participants will be given a wristband that must be worn at all times while at the event. Anyone not wearing a wristband will be asked to proceed immediately to the registration desk.

  • All participants are required to electronically sign a Liability Waiver & COVID-19 Acknowledgement as part of the registration process.

  • All participants must attest that they have not tested positive for COVID-19, been knowingly exposed to COVID-19, or had symptoms of COVID-19 within the past ten (10) days as part of the registration process.

  • If participants have participated in higher-risk activities, it is strongly recommended that they test before coming to a Dirty Water WCS event, regardless of vaccination status.

  • Participants may be randomly selected for additional screening steps.

  • Participants are encouraged to pay online prior to arriving at the event.

  • Participants who are unable to attend due to confirmed or potential COVID-19 exposure or illness may contact Dirty Water WCS to request a refund or transfer of their payment to a future date.
