Swing Dancing in the hub
We’re Dirty Water West Coast Swing, a monthly west coast swing dance in Greater Boston. Run by locals, for locals (and friends passing through), we strive to provide a top-quality experience for our dance community. With a mix of international professionals and home-grown talent, we throw a party every month that is not to be missed.
Dances are held on the second Saturday of the month at the George Dilboy VFW Post in Somerville, MA unless otherwise noted.

We’ve got a legend in the house! Dawn Blorstad (Garrish) is coming to Boston the second weekend of June, and trust us when we say you don’t want to miss this. Dawn is a champion WCS dancer in her own right and has trained dozens of champions who came after her. Don’t be intimidated, though: Dawn’s classes are approachable thanks to her ability to break down even the most complicated technical concepts for dancers of all levels.
Since Dawn is also a respected chief judge on the WSDC circuit, we’ll also be hosting a just-for-fun Jack & Jill contest on Saturday night! Local WSDC intermediate, advanced, and all star dancers will have the opportunity to participate in a judge’s training on Friday night, then put their skills to the test in the Saturday night contest with Dawn overseeing as chief judge. More details to come on this soon!
We have residential neighbors at this venue who appreciate their sleep and their resident-only parking spots. Please monitor your volume outside of the venue and take care not to park in marked resident spots or on the left-hand side of the garage (the right side is safe after the hours posted on the signs).
