Swing Dancing in the hub

We’re Dirty Water West Coast Swing, a monthly west coast swing dance in Greater Boston. Run by locals, for locals (and friends passing through), we strive to provide a top-quality experience for our dance community. With a mix of international professionals and home-grown talent, we throw a party every month that is not to be missed.

Dances are held on the second Saturday of the month at the George Dilboy VFW Post in Somerville, MA unless otherwise noted.

7:00pm-9:00pm WCS Choreography (int/adv WCS) with Saya Suzaki & Roberto Corporan
8:00pm-9:00pm Beginner WCS class with Dani Darasz
9:00pm-12:00am Social dancing with DJ Alli Reese

The magical and mysterious world of WCS choreography, typically reserved for the more intense among us, is opening up its doors for a sneak peek 🫣 Come dip your toes into the choreography side of WCS with a mini-routine from local legends Saya Suzaki & Roberto Corporan! You’ll spend two focused hours learning how to perform every step with confidence, grace, and technical skill, then strut your stuff to a wildly-cheering audience!

A PARTNER IS REQUIRED FOR THE MINI-ROUTINE- THIS IS A NON-ROTATING CLASS. We will offer a limited number of single dancer registrations to be randomly matched with one another. Participants must demonstrate fluid recall of left side pass, underarm turn, push break, tuck, basic whip, and inside and outside turns to successfully access the class material.

New to west coast swing? No partner, no previous experience- no problem. We’ve got a beginner class just for you that will take you from zero to dance hero in one hour flat!

We have residential neighbors at this venue who appreciate their sleep and their resident-only parking spots. Please monitor your volume outside of the venue and take care not to park in marked resident spots or on the left-hand side of the garage (the right side is safe after the hours posted on the signs).
